From my experience, the most troubling aspect of handing a project over to a client after development, is fear factor.

An honest assessment is that while traversing the backend and tinkering with text and blocks and widgets and menus... none of this will break the web site. It might not look like you want, but that's easily reversible with versioning control of pages and posts.

To break a web site requires a developer :)
